Huaca of the Sun
An architectural expression of Andean futurism. Inspired by the Inca (and Kichwa in general), Mochica, Chavin, Tiwanaku, Nazca and Paracas cultures from South America. A Huaca, or Wak'a, refers both to ancient monuments such as the pyramidal structures built by the Mochica between the 2nd Century b.c - 7th century CE, or natural places considered sacred in traditional Kichwa cosmology, and played an important role in the administration of the Tawantinsuyu (the Inca Empire).
